Flavia personally has scoliosis and therefore has led to a career seeking out best care for scoliosis due to her own personal journey. Flavia completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2003 ( Brazil) and she spent the first 6 years working in different areas such as therapeutic horse riding, hydrotherapy, and conventional physiotherapy (orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric rehabilitation). In 2008 she opened her physiotherapy and pilates clinic in Brazil, spending 8 years investing in rehabilitation through movement and education.
Flavia moved to Australia and initially after 3 years in Bunbury moved to Perth to work in a rehabiliation capacity at Lisa’s sister clinic Bodyworks Subiaco, after many interactions that involved co-treating rural patients with Lisa for Scoliosis. After more skill development working alongside Lisa, and now completing her international ISST scoliosis training, Flavia is working in an evidence based corrective exercise capacity for Perth Scoliosis Clinic, merging her expertise in rehab and scoliosis understanding to improve patient outcomes.
