Meet Penny - Physiotherapist

Penny has multiple years of clinical experience working in rehabilitation and has particular experience in managing patients with complex mental health needs, which is complemented by her kind nature and expert ability to listen. Over the past 8 years, Penny has developed a wealth of knowledge and pushed towards a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, working in various clinical settings, including private practice, residential care, and community settings in areas such as gerontology, mental health, education, training and rehabilitation.

Penny completed her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University in Perth. Her interest in scoliosis was sparked due to her own personal journey, during which she recognised a gap in the conservative management of scoliosis in Australia. This motivated her to seek answers and training in this area. It was during her search that she discovered an opportunity to work at the Perth Scoliosis Clinic, where she can contribute her expertise, grow and learn alongside a dedicated team.

Penny firmly believes in a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to physiotherapy, tailoring treatments to meet the specific needs of each individual. As a dedicated learner, she understands the importance of continuous professional development. Penny is trained in Clinical Pilates and International Schroth Scoliosis Therapy.
Outside of her work, she enjoys going for walks, learning new languages, and spending time with her family and friends. Growing up in Malaysia, Penny is fluent in both Bahasa and Mandarin.
